Packing Tips
- Use a rigid (minimum 200lb test ) carton; do not use damaged or previously shipped cartons
- Properly cushion and wrap each item separately. Keep fragile articles away from the corners and sides of the package
- Protect contents with 2" of cushioning material on all sides, top and bottom.; fill all empty space. Ideally, this cushioning should be bubble wrap or "peanuts."
- Use the UPS-recommended "H" method to seal all seams of the box with strong carton sealing tape. Do Not use masking tape or Scotch tape. Do Not use string or paper overwrap.
- Write or type the complete address clearly, including zip code, apartment or unit number. Be sure to use only one address label on each package. Eliminate any previous addresses or markings on the package.
- Provide alternate delivery on each package in case the recipient is unavailable to sign for it (i.e. leave on back porch, neighbor will sign, etc.)
- For return merchandise, enclose billing information, or a letter to ensure proper credit.
